Why PDF and not DOCX

A PDF carries its own fonts and layout, so it prints exactly as you designed it. A DOCX is re-rendered by whatever opens it, which is how page breaks move, tables split and fonts get substituted between your screen and the press. DOCX, JPG and PNG are accepted, but export to PDF first if the layout matters at all.

Preparing the file

Embed the fonts. Keep images at 300 DPI. Hold one page size throughout — a PDF that mixes A4 and A3 is the most common reason a job comes back looking wrong. Flatten transparency and comment layers before export, and check the last page is really the last page.

Double-sided by default

Double-sided is both cheaper and less paper: Rs 0.60 per A4 page against Rs 0.85 single-sided. Choose single-sided only where the document genuinely requires it — some submission formats and legal filings do. On a 200-page document that choice is a Rs 50 difference and a visibly thinner stack.

Binding a printed PDF

Twelve options, chosen at order time and applied before dispatch: corner staple Rs 2, staple Rs 15, centre staple Rs 25 or Rs 35 laminated, spiral Rs 40, wiro or comb Rs 45, glue and tape Rs 60, soft cover perfect binding Rs 110, hard binding Rs 250, and Rs 275 with golden print on the front.

Large files and long documents

There is no page limit. For files over 100 MB — common with scanned documents and image-heavy exports — send a WeTransfer link to print@printster.in rather than fighting the upload. Scanned PDFs print fine as long as the scan was made in document mode at 300 DPI rather than photographed.
