Printster alternatives, compared

Four honest comparisons against the services people actually weigh us against.

The short version

We are not the cheapest. OnlinePrintout undercuts us on most published rates, Printo is far faster in four metros, and your local shop wins on anything you need within the hour. Where we are strong is long documents, published per-page pricing and university thesis binding.

Pick a comparison

Printster vs OnlinePrintout

Their published rates are lower on most lines, including colour and hard binding. Where we still win, and the GST caveat that makes the two price lists hard to compare directly.

Compare prices →

Printster vs Printo

Printo does not publish a per-page rate, but they deliver in 4 to 6 hours in four metros and ship standard orders free. What their ₹38 starting price actually covers.

Compare turnaround →

Printster vs local print shops

The one comparison where we cannot quote a competitor price, because none is published. When walking to the shop is simply the right answer.

Compare honestly →

Printster vs Vistaprint India

Vistaprint India does not sell document or thesis printing. What each of us actually covers, so you do not shop in the wrong place.

Frequently asked questions

Is Printster the cheapest online printing service in India?
No. On published rates, OnlinePrintout is cheaper on most lines we compared, including A4 colour and plain hard binding. We publish that on the comparison page rather than hide it. Our cheapest published page rate is ₹0.34 for A5 black & white, double-sided on 75 gsm, before GST.
Why would a company publish comparisons that it loses?
Because a comparison you cannot trust is worth nothing to you and nothing to us. These pages are built from each company's own published pricing, checked on a stated date, and every one of them has a section on when the other service is the better choice.
How often are these figures checked?
Quarterly. Competitor figures on this cluster were last verified on 31 August 2026, and the next scheduled review is 30 November 2026. Prices change without notice, so check the linked source before ordering.
What do you do when a competitor does not publish prices?
We leave the row blank and say why. Printo does not publish a per-page rate and local shops do not publish anything, so neither has a per-page figure on these pages. We would rather show a gap than an invented number.
Where can I see Printster's own full rate card?
On our pricing page, which lists every per-page rate by paper size and stock, and every binding charge per copy. All figures exclude GST at 5%.

How these figures were checked. Printster’s rates come from our own published rate card (config/rate-card.json — extracted from pricing engine module 1 on 30 August 2026. All Printster prices exclude GST (5%).) and are also on our pricing page. Competitor figures were read from their own public pages on the dates below. We do not publish a competitor price we have not seen on their own site — where a company does not publish a rate, we say so instead of estimating one.
