Black & white, same paper weight

Their pricing page and ours both quote A4 by paper weight, so these rows compare the same paper printed the same way.

Printster is cheaper on 5 of 6 black & white rows. The single exception is 75 gsm double sided, where they are six paise lower. Printster rates exclude GST (5%); their page does not state its GST treatment.

What a real order actually costs

Rate cards are one thing; the number at checkout is another. These are quotes from OnlinePrintout’s own calculator, run on 31 August 2026 for A4, black & white, 75 GSM, no staple, 1 copy, two-sided, delivery pincode 110092.

Two things worth noticing. On a single page their calculator charges ₹1 — a minimum, not their per-page rate — where the same page costs ₹0.54 before GST with us. On 100 pages their printing line is lower than ours (₹48 against ₹54). Their quote also adds a ₹5 handling fee that is not on their rate card, and the cheapest route it offered was 8 days.

We have deliberately not put a Printster total in that table. Our calculator prices printing only — delivery is quoted at checkout against your pincode — so we cannot show you a delivered total here without guessing at it, and we would rather leave the row out than guess. Compare the final checkout figure on both sites.

Colour, same paper weight

The honest half of this comparison: OnlinePrintout is cheaper on colour across the board.

If your job is mostly colour pages, price it on both sites before ordering. One thing to check when comparing colour quotes anywhere: ask what press the work is run on. Printster prints documents on digital (toner) presses — toner is fused to the sheet, so it does not run if the page gets damp and does not need drying time. Inkjet output is priced differently and behaves differently on the page. We only use inkjet for canvas prints, where it suits the material. We have not audited anyone else’s equipment, so ask them directly rather than taking our word for it.

Binding

Per copy at 1–50 copies. They are cheaper on plain soft and hard binding; the golden-print thesis format is ₹350 on both, and we publish seven binding types they do not.

About their ₹0.35 headline

The lowest figure on their pricing page is ₹0.35 per page, and it is real — but it is 65 gsm eco paper. We do not sell 65 gsm. It is thin enough that a double-sided print can show through from the reverse, and we chose not to stock it. Our lightest paper is 75 gsm, which is why the grid above starts there. If thin paper is fine for your purpose, that is a genuine option we do not offer.

Is Printster cheaper than OnlinePrintout for black and white printing?

On the same paper weight, usually yes. Comparing their published table with ours on A4, Printster is cheaper on five of the six black & white combinations: 85 gsm and 100 gsm on both single and double sided, and 75 gsm single sided. The one they win is 75 gsm double sided, where they are ₹0.48 against our ₹0.54 — six paise a page. The gap widens as the paper gets heavier: on 100 gsm single sided we are ₹1.61 against their ₹2.50.

What does a one-page order cost on each site?

On OnlinePrintout's own calculator, a single A4 black & white page on 75 gsm quotes ₹1 for printing — that is a minimum charge, not their ₹0.48 per-page rate — plus ₹56 shipping and a ₹5 handling fee, so ₹62 in total to a Delhi pincode, with the cheapest route showing 8 days. The same page costs ₹0.54 before GST with us. We have not put our own delivered total beside theirs because our calculator prices printing only and quotes delivery at checkout.

Why is your colour more expensive — is it a different kind of printing?

Printster prints documents on digital (toner) presses. Toner is fused to the paper, so it does not run if the sheet gets damp and needs no drying time. That is a different process, and a different cost base, from inkjet — we use inkjet only for canvas prints. We have not inspected any competitor's equipment, so if colour cost matters to you, ask them what they print on and compare a sample.

What about their ₹0.35 headline rate?

That is for 65 gsm eco paper, which we do not stock at all. 65 gsm is thin enough to show print through from the other side, and we chose not to offer it. Our lightest stock is 75 gsm. If you want the absolute lowest price and thin paper is acceptable, they have an option we do not.

Which is cheaper for colour printing?

They are, on every row we compared. Their A4 colour on 75 gsm is ₹1.00 both sides against our ₹3.06. If your document is mostly colour, price it on both sites before you order — we would rather tell you that than lose your trust over it.

Do the two price lists include GST?

Ours do not — every Printster figure excludes GST at 5%. OnlinePrintout's pricing page does not state whether its rates include GST. Until you reach checkout on each site, the two lists are not strictly comparable.

Their site lists Printster at ₹0.89 per page. Which figure is right?

₹0.89 matches no rate in our pricing engine. Our A4 black & white rate on 75 gsm is ₹0.54 double-sided and ₹0.77 single-sided, and the full rate card is published at printster.in/print/pricing. We cannot say how they arrived at ₹0.89.

Why should I order from Printster?
