Choosing between them
- Corner staple (Rs 2) — a single staple in the corner. Cheapest way to stop a stack becoming loose sheets.
- Staple (Rs 15) — along the edge, sits flatter than a corner staple.
- Centre staple (Rs 25, Rs 35 laminated) — saddle stitch, folded and stapled at the spine. A proper booklet that opens flat. Best under about 64 pages.
- Spiral (Rs 40) — opens 360 degrees and stays where you put it. The default for notes, manuals and anything you write beside.
- Comb (Rs 45) — a plastic spine you can open and refill.
- Wiro (Rs 45) — twin-loop wire, turns cleanly and looks the best of the three, but crushes if sat on.
- Glue / tape (Rs 60) — a taped spine that tears sheet by sheet. The bill-book binding.
- Soft cover (Rs 110, Rs 65 at 51, Rs 40 at 101) — perfect binding. A printed spine and a squared edge: this is a paperback. Needs at least 32 pages.
- Hard binding (Rs 250) — rigid boards. The standard for a submitted or archived thesis. Rs 275 with golden print on the front, Rs 350 with the spine lettered too.
