Choosing the page size
A5 is the natural size for a novel or a read-through book and costs Rs 0.38 per page double-sided, or Rs 0.34 per page on 100 copies or more. A4 suits technical books, manuals and anything with diagrams or code, at Rs 0.60 per page double-sided.
Binding a printed e-book
Soft cover perfect binding at Rs 110 gives the closest thing to a shop-bought paperback. Spiral at Rs 40 is right for a book you will work in rather than read through. Hard binding at Rs 250 is for something meant to last on a shelf.

Margins and the gutter
An e-book laid out for a screen usually has no gutter, so text can run too close to the bound edge once it is printed and bound. Before uploading, widen the inside margin to at least 15 mm on a perfect-bound book. It is a two-minute change in the export settings and it is the difference between a readable book and one you have to fight open.
