A phone photo will print acceptably at small sizes and visibly soften at large ones. A screenshot, a WhatsApp-compressed image or a web download will not hold up at any size, and no amount of production care fixes it.
Sizes and orientation
Portrait, landscape and square all print. Match the aspect ratio of your file to the canvas you order — if they differ, something has to be cropped, and it is better that you choose what goes than that production does. Crop your image to the target ratio before uploading and you will get exactly the framing you intended.
Colour on canvas
Canvas takes ink differently from paper: colours sit slightly deeper and contrast reads a shade softer than it does on a backlit screen. Images with strong midtones translate best. Very dark photographs lose shadow separation, so lift the shadows a little before uploading if the original is low-key.
