A booklet costs the per-page printing plus a flat binding charge per copy. Centre staple — the folded-and-stapled binding that makes a booklet a booklet — is ₹25 a copy, falling to ₹20 from 51 copies. Pages are ₹0.38 each for A5 black & white on 75gsm and ₹0.60 for A4, both double-sided, dropping to ₹0.34 and ₹0.54 at 100 copies. So a 16-page A5 booklet is ₹31.08 a copy, or ₹1,554 for 50, before GST.
A booklet is the format you reach for when a few loose sheets look unfinished and a bound book is too much: the event programme, the product catalogue, the training handout, the recipe collection, the school magazine. What a booklet actually costs
Two charges, and they behave differently. Printing is per page and scales with how long the booklet is. Binding is per copy and does not change with page count at all. That single fact decides most booklet budgets: on a short booklet the binding dominates, and on a long one the printing does. Four jobs priced from the current rate card:

Look at the first and last rows. The 12-page booklet is ₹4.56 of printing carrying ₹25 of binding — you are paying mostly to have it stapled. The 48-page soft-cover booklet is ₹25.92 of printing against ₹65 of binding, and the two have nearly changed places. If your booklet is short, adding a few pages costs almost nothing; if it is long, cutting the page count is where the money is.
The discounts arrive at two different thresholds, which is easy to miss. Binding drops at 51 copies; the per-page rate drops at 100 copies. A run of 60 copies gets the cheaper binding but still pays the standard page rate. Both are applied automatically — see the full rate card for every paper and size.
Which binding for your page count
Centre staple is what most people mean by a booklet, and up to about 64 pages it is both the cheapest and the most appropriate. The reason it stops there is physical rather than commercial: the folded spine thickens with every sheet until the staples no longer sit flat and the outermost pages start to pull away from the trim edge.

Soft cover is the natural step up, and on runs over 100 copies it costs ₹40 a copy — less than wiro or comb, with a flat printed spine you can put a title on. Spiral and wiro earn their extra cost only when the booklet has to lie open unattended, which is really a question about the reader’s hands rather than the page count.
Your page count has to be a multiple of four
This is the single most common reason a booklet file comes back for revision. A booklet is built from sheets folded in half. One folded sheet carries four pages — two on the front, two on the back — so the finished booklet can only ever be 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 pages and so on. There is no way to produce a 22-page stapled booklet; the press would have to tear a sheet in half.
So a 22-page document becomes a 24-page booklet with two blank pages in it. The question is where they go. If you leave it to the imposition, they land at the back, which is fine for a handout and wrong for a catalogue that should end on the order form. Add the blank pages to your PDF yourself and you decide: a blank inside the front cover, a blank facing the first chapter, or a deliberate notes page at the end. Count the covers — front, inside front, inside back, back are four of your pages, not extras on top.

Choose a booklet by the size it will be when it is finished and folded, because that is how it is priced. An A5 booklet is A4 sheets folded in half, but you select A5 in the calculator and pay the A5 page rate.

Preparing the file
- Send single pages, not spreads. Export your PDF as sequential single pages in reading order — page 1, 2, 3. The imposition that pairs page 1 with page 24 on one sheet happens at the press. A file already imposed into spreads will be imposed a second time.
- Margins of 10–15 mm all round, 15–20 mm on the binding edge. Borderless printing is not offered, so anything closer to the edge than that risks being trimmed.
- Allow for creep on thick booklets. On a stapled booklet the inner pages sit slightly further out than the outer ones once folded, so page numbers and running heads placed tight to the outside edge drift visibly across a 60-page booklet. Keep them inboard.
- Split the cover from the interior if you want a colour cover on heavier stock and cheap black & white inside. Upload two files and configure each separately — it is the difference between ₹0.60 and ₹3.36 a page across the interior.
- Embed your fonts and place images at 300 dpi. Files up to 100 MB upload directly; send a WeTransfer link at checkout for anything larger.
- Order one copy first. Binding is per copy, so a single proof is cheap against a run of 200, and it is the only way to see the imposition, the margins and the colour on real paper.
Turnaround, delivery and payment
Processing is 3 to 5 working days from the point your file is accepted, then delivery is 4 to 7 working days to Delhi NCR and 5 to 10 working days to the rest of India. Bound work sits nearer the top of those ranges than the bottom. For a booklet with a date on it — a conference programme, a wedding order of service, an exhibition catalogue — work back a fortnight from the event, not a week.

- Is cash on delivery available for booklet orders?
