Which binding is best for a printed study guide?
For guides up to about 100 pages, wiro or spiral binding is ideal — the guide lies completely flat while you read or write notes. For thicker guides of 100+ pages, soft cover (perfect binding) gives a clean, book-like result. Short handouts can simply be corner stapled or saddle stitched.
What paper should I use for printed study notes I plan to write on?
Bond Paper (85gsm) is recommended for study material you will annotate — it is sturdy and accepts pen and pencil well. For double-sided notes with minimal show-through, Duo White (100gsm) is a good choice. Thick matte 250gsm card is ideal for stiff flashcards.
