Book printing in India — what it costs and how long it takes

Printster prints books to order and delivers anywhere in India, with no minimum order — a single copy is fine. A4 black & white is ₹0.60 a page double sided on 75gsm, falling to ₹0.54 on orders of 100 copies or more; A5 is ₹0.38. Colour is ₹3.36 a page on A4.

Binding is charged per copy, not per page: ₹110 for a soft-cover paperback, ₹250 for hard binding, or ₹350 for hard binding with gold lettering on the front and spine. Glue or tape binding, a simpler finish without a printed cover, is ₹60.

Delivery is 4–7 working days to Delhi NCR and 7–10 working days to the rest of India, after 3 to 5 working days of production, with binding adding 1–2 days. Full rates are on the rate card; all 12 binding types are listed on the binding page. For a thesis or dissertation see thesis printing.

How much does book printing cost?
Book printing costs ₹0.60 per A4 page in black & white double-sided, plus binding from ₹110 per copy for a soft-cover paperback finish, or ₹250 for hard binding. All prices exclude GST, which is added at checkout, and binding is charged separately per copy.
What paper can I choose?
Printster prints on 75 gsm, 85 gsm and 100 gsm stock for everyday documents, and up to 300 gsm matte or glossy for covers and posters. 75 gsm is the standard and the cheapest per page.
What binding options are available?
There are 12 binding types, from a ₹2 corner staple and ₹40 spiral binding up to hard binding at ₹250 and hard binding with golden print on the front and spine at ₹350. Binding is charged per copy, not per page.
Can I print a single copy of a book?
Yes — there is no minimum order, so a single copy is fine, though the per-page rate drops at 100 copies or more.
What file formats can I upload?
Printster accepts PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, JPEG and PNG files. PDF gives the most predictable result because the layout and fonts are already fixed.
How long does book printing take to arrive?
Delivery takes 4 to 7 working days to Delhi NCR and 7 to 10 working days to the rest of India, after 3 to 5 working days of processing. Binding adds 1 to 2 working days, and your exact estimate is shown at checkout.
What happens if my order arrives damaged or wrong?
Report it to print@printster.in within 48 hours of delivery with your unboxing video and photographs, and we will put it right. Damaged or in-transit issues must be reported within 48 hours; wrong or missing items within 7 calendar days.
